Fine Dining

Whatever your taste, there is a wealth of wonderful eating establishments in the borough for you to choose from.  Biddenden is home to The West House which is set in a 15th century former weaver's cottage, and one of only a few restaurants in Kent to be awarded a Michelin star.  You will also find the award winning Claris's Tea Room, a perfect stop for afternoon tea.

Head towards Tenterden and stop off at The Chapel Down Winery where you can combine fine food and excellent local wines in a wonderful setting.

The 'Wealden Pullman', introduced on the Kent & East Sussex Railway in 1974, forms the perfect venue to celebrate a special occasion or a more intimate evening.  Early booking is essential due to high demand.

Elvey Farm at Pluckley offers fresh, home cooked food using local ingredients. The restaurant is housed in a 16th century barn where you can enjoy a romantic meal by candlelight served by the friendly and attentive staff.

These are just a small selection of what is on offer, and is not meant to represent any recommendation or full restaurant listings for the area.
